o Dan Barnard will no longer be the team DH. Starting immediately he will share 1B duties with Greg Holt. One of them may eventually win the starting job.
o Fan favorite Alex Murdoch, the "Discount Daredevil", takes over at DH. His -5.5 ZR and .865 efficiency rating in the outfield will cease to be an issue.
o Outfielder Ernesto Campos, a strong defensive CF to date, will take over from Murdoch in LF where he will be even better defensively.
o Cristobal Cruz probably cannot hit enough (despite his current .300 average) to keep the CF job, but his defense may help him hold the job for the time being.
o Campos in LF, Cruz in CF and outstanding defender Ismael Garza in RF will comprise what might well be the best defensive outfield in the AFBL.
o What's wrong with IF/CF Jose Garcia? The 24 year old hit .282 last year after his mid-year promotion. He's stuck at a pathetic .171.
o SP Anastasio Tavarez starts a rehab assignment this week. The once #2 prospect in the AFBL has regressed substantially due to multiple continuing injuries.
o Star closer Juan Magana, on DL for a month now with a chronic back problem, still does not have a projected return date.
o Eric Higson is an able fill-in as closer, but Magana's absence substantially affects overall bullpen effectiveness.
o SP Dan Sanders (0-4, 6.21) has been released. He was considered a disruptive influence in the clubhouse.
Washington belatedly names Hitter and Pitcher of the Year for years 2038 through 2046.

Yeah we've fallen behind with these including myself. Fantastic stuff John!
o Babbling away after depressing 1-5 sim.
o Anastasio Tavarez began rehab, strained his hamstring, out AGAIN for five weeks. He's a physical disaster in waiting.
o As expected CF Cristobal Cruz saw his BA drop from .300 to .182. Back to the bench for him. Bus to Olympia expected soon.
o Defensive whiz Ismael Garza will move seamlessly from RF to CF.
o Regular Olympia-to-Washington commuter Anastasio Perez takes over in RF.
o Are 1B Greg Holt, Dan Barnard, & Ben Sloan really one person? Mirror image ratings and performance.
o WA claims OF Juan RodrĂguez to AAA and immediately promotes him. Expect Cruz on that Olympia bus next sim.
o Finally a winning sim - 4-2 -I'll take it
o DH Alex Murdoch hitting streak at 32 games!!!
o Murdock hitting streak stopped by Ortega/NC at 33 games. Nice job, Alex! New streak now at 2 games.
o Last seven games saw WA score 13, 11, 11, and 14 runs in four wins. Unfortunately we were outscored 19-10 in three losses.
o 23-year-old 3B AntĂłnio Saucedo is burning it up at .318 with 10 dingers.
o Murdock (.360) remains red hot; on pace for 250 hits. Yikes.
o Slow starting Kieran Wynn and Jose Morales have stepped it up; Jose Garcia found his bat and is over .220.
o Robinson Fernandez off IL into rotation; Aurelio Villarreal out of rotation onto IL.
o Washington leads AFBL in runs scored.
o Trailing at Indiana 5-1 going into 9th, WA scores six to win 7-5 as Dan Barnard (now at .310) gets game winning hit. Higson gets save.
o 29 home games, 46 on the road so far. Need a nice long homestand
o Started week being shut out back to back by Indiana and Ontario.
o Alex Murdock leads AFBL in hitting at .366. The last three years he had between 30 and 37 doubles. He already has 30 this year.
o Juan Rodriguez (.037 - yikes) demoted to AAA. Defense only carries you so long.
o Versatile 2B Juan Garcia has found his bat and moves to the outfield to take over in center field.
o Anastasio Perez hit .250 as the starting center fielder, but he now becomes the utility outfielder.
o Jesus Miranda recalled from AAA to become the backup infielder, a job that Garcia had been filling.
o Keep winning (8 of last 10) - still in last place. Quite the division.
o Moved RP Johnny Riley. Didn't like his disruptive influence in clubhouse. Got less talent back in Chet Ward, but at least he can be a backup starter as well.
o Ward began his Resonance career badly in his first relief appearance.
o Jose Garcia also disruptive but less likely to move him. Like his versatility and potential.
o Higson acting as closer and Magana as stopper. Not sure it makes any sense, but we're winning. đ
o Chet Ward looking OK in relief, but now moves into rotation to replace Villarreal. Fingers crossed there.
o Villarrel demoted; Santiago sent to pen; Esteban Garza promoted and will start a game immediately as WA has no SP fully rested.
o Jose Carmona has stepped in nicely as a backup catcher. His defense over demoted Pearson could make a difference.
o 15-4 last 19 games, 10 over .500, finally out of cellar. Took an 0-6 by Colorado to escape last place. Tough to move up in a real tough division.
o Chet Ward has won his first three decisions with Resonance including a nice four inning of shutout relief and six strong innings in his first start.
o Magana now has 10 saves as stopper while Higson has 25 as closer.
o Jesus Miranda hitting .421 as backup infielder since recall.
o 4-3 sim, tied for third in the world's toughest division.
o 4 games behind Idaho, 5 behind New Mexico.
o 5-1 sim followed by 6-1; now in third place (2 behind Idaho, 4 behind New Mexico).
o Big three game series with Idaho next sim (at Idaho). Then three at home vs Texas and three at Oregon to wind up season.
o Magana (16) and Higson (31) now total 47 saves.
o Resonance were 24-31 in April and May; 62-35 in June, July, August, September.
o Resonance lose 2 of 3 to Idaho but win 4 other games for 5-2 sim.
o Now 1/2 game out of second (Idaho) and 1-1/2 behind division leader (New Mexico).
o 3 games to go: WA at OR; ID at NM. Should be fun. (Plus NM has that extra game against OR before their final series.)
o WC round game 1: Tavares 2-hit CG shutout (and doesn't get player of game); Saucedo 4 for 5 and player of game
o WC round game 2: Player of game Santiago allows just 3 hits in 7&1/3; Campos 3 hits lead offense; Wynn hits HR
o WC round game 3: Starter McDaniel ineffective; stopper Magana goes 5&2/3 allowing only 2 hits and gets win; Player of game Wynn has four hits
o Platoon 1B Holt takes starter role for playoffs.
o C Pearson and OF Carriere are surprise playoff roster members: Pearson for his bat & Carriere for his legs.
o Washington wins WC round in four game sweep of Kentucky who had the best overall record in the AFBL.
o Kieran Wynn leads offense, wins series MVP, while hitting .556 with two homers and five RBIs.
o Ernesto Campos (.467) and Antonio Saucedo (,353) also star on offense. Resonance players stole 11 bases in 12 attempts. FlorĂȘncio Xarito had five SBs.
o Resonance await winner of NM/ID series. Pitching staff will be rested and all starters will be ready to go.
o Alex Murdock led AFBL in doubles and triples. 79 of 231 hits were for extra bases and he stole 53 bases.
o 17 pitchers had at least one win for the Resonance this season.
o Relievers Magana, Baker, Grant, and Miquel were a combined 24-7.
o Obvious offensive WAR leader was C Kieran Wynn at 5.7.
o Much less obvious were number two, 3B Antonio Saucedo (4.9), and number three, SS Florencio Xarito (4.6).
o Fourth in WAR was DH Alex Murdock at 4.0. If he could play the outfield he might have been first. Love his SLG % of .509 batting leadoff.
o Murdoch had zone rating of -17.6 as outfielder last year. He was already at -6.1 this year in just 35 games before being moved to DH.
o Surprise player of year was RP Jeff Grant (6-4, 2.85) after 2.5 rather unimpressive years in AAA. He was 16-12 as WA starter back in 2044. Welcome back.
o Antonio Saucedo led the AFBL in walks with 102. Good eye Tony.
o Anastasio Tavares threw only 97 pitches in his two-hit shutout over KY in WC game one. He is on a 110 pitch count limit.
o That game was the only shutout and the only complete game by a WA pitcher this season. Last one was by current reliever Sergio Robles last year.
o On August 4th the Resonance were 52-55 and in last place.
o From August 4th on the Resonance were 40-15 and finished one game behind NM and ID who tied for first place.
Idaho had a year like that. We went something like 100-40 after starting 8-14. We did lose the finals that season
Pending commissioner approval, the Class A Tri-Cities Skellies will be moving to Spokane to become the Spokane Indians. New logo, caps, and jerseys will be displayed once the commish has approved. Upon approval the Rookie League High Springs Tritons will move and become the Yakima Valley Pippins. Both new names reflect real life teams from those regions.

As approved by the commissioner, the following two team moves will happen this off-season:
1. The Class A Tri-Cities Skellies will move to Spokane and become the Spokane Indians playing at Avista Stadium. The team will have two logos, a traditional English one and another sporting the language of the Spokane League of Indians.
2. The Rookie League High Springs Tritons will move to Yakima and become the Yakima Valley Pippins playing ay Yakima Meadows.
Here are the new logos and a picture of players dressed in the new uniforms:
Well, the plans to move the High Springs Tritons to Yakima Valley died an ugly death since Yakima Valley is in Washington and the Rookie League has all its teams in Florida. The pippin is a type of apple. While known for citrus fruit, apples are indeed grown in central Florida. So the Pippins will be located in Ocala, Florida.
